MIZMARA - Egyptian dancers

Anita is based in Hertfordshire and London
and performs and teaches Egyptian Dance. She has studied with notable
Hilal-style Raqs Sharqi and other Anita teaches weekly classes, holds video evenings and gives regular workshops. A passionate believer in developing students' body awareness, she nurtures the individuality of each student and encourages them to develop their authentic expression and unique performance style. Anita has been performing since 2000. In addition to solo work and charity performances, she dances with the progressive and highly regarded Tabeeya Dance Company. Tabeeya have been performing at the amazing annual The Rhythms of the World Festival in Hitchin for many years. As Egyptian Dance instructor at Champneys Health Resort for almost eight years, Anita’s strong, elegant style and clear teaching skills earned the admiration and respect of the many Middle Eastern regulars.
Anita’s student dance troupe performing at the Tettie-Fest is MIZMARA. They all attend weekly classes and have all been dancing for less that two years. They are performing traditional Egyptian Dances called Sha'abi' or Folk. The music comes from Upper Egypt. The dance is spontaneous, earthy and joyful. Contact Anita directly or via her website

enQ's music is a hard hitting mixture of instrumentals with a selection of original songs. Music that can get you up on your feet as well as make you think. Music that's a vital hybrid of world and celtic influences with jazz, rock and latin thrown in for good measure. The instrumentals range from fast and furious celtic rock tunes to funky foot tappers and reflective ambient and jazz/rock influenced originals. Acoustic duo formed in 2005 featuring workmates Jonathan Goodson (vocals) and Dave Bennett (guitar, etc). Both prolific songwriters, the pair soon built up a solid collection of original material and established their distinctive high-tempo guitar-pop sound. Dr. 8Ball are a crazy bunch of guys fusing Ska/Pop-Punk to produce addictive riffs with a strong and well placed Brass section. With an energetic stage show that is both humourous and addictive, Dr 8 Ball promise to provide some great entertainment.
